Darling en Español...

Saludos a toda mi gente que lee mi pagina "Blog".

Prometi hace tiempo a mis clientes que escribiria en mi idioma y aqui estoy cumpliendo la promesa. Para las personas que no me conocen; mi nombre es Darling y soy parte del equipo de fotografos de "Paumenphotography".

PaumenPhotography se fundo hace mas de 7 años por Victor Paumen. Victor estudio en el New York Institute of Photography desde el año 2000 hasta el 2003. Mientras Victor estudiaba fotografia yo estudiaba Negocios Internaciones en la universidad. Mi titulo universitario me llevo a comenzar una maestria en negocios empresariales. Por cosas del destino me di cuenta que la maestria en negocios empresariales no era lo mio y en el año 2006 comence mis estudios de fotografia.

La fotografia es algo que me apasiono desde el primer momento que comence a editar imagenes y descubri un mundo de creatividad que hasta el dia de hoy no deja de impresionarme. Yo estoy especializandome en editacion especial de imagenes digitales. Victor y yo nos especializamos en bodas, retratos, y conceptos digitales. Este Blog es el hogar de las fotografias que no caben en mi pagina web www.paumenphotography.com . Victor tambien tiene paumenstudios donde encontraran fotografias que no son relacionadas a bodas sino en intereses personales como fotografias de landscapes, edificios, retratos, ciudades, paises, y personas que conocemos durante nuestros viajes.

Es un placer tenerlos de visita por este medio y poder entretenerles con nuestro arte. Trato de mantener esta pagina con imagenes y historias recientes para que sepan lo que estamos haciendo y tambien para que disfruten nuestros ultimos trabajos.

Lily Juliet and Javier "Brother and Sister" Playing in-front of the camera

I really enjoyed these images. We manage to capture the essence of my Niece and Nephew - This is exactly how they are and act. The little one is just like her auntie "D", and the boy is such a sweet big brother - sweet and loving. Thank you Lily and Javier for the wonderful times we always have with you. Love you guys!!!

Here are some images of my nephew "Javier A.". The images were taken X-mas Eve at our studio. I really need to get cracking with more images of my nieces and nephews. I have so many beautiful kids in my family - I just need the time to get them to my studio. I love them all....

The following images are from my Nephew "Javier Antonio" and my niece "Lily Juliet". Javier Antonio is the perfect mix between my younger sister "Karla" and his father. Lily Juliet as you may already notice looks just like me. I showed these images to a very sweet and wise lady "Elena Hernandez" during my trip to Nashville TN, and was told that she is my spitting image - what do you think? I love these kids! I just wish I had more time to spend with them.

PPA Blog 5

PPA came to an end On Wednesday Jan 13th 2010. I left Nashville, TN with a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. I am very proud to say I volunteer for one of the most influential organizations in the world when it comes to photography, and did so with great happiness. I made so many friends along the way, shared with them my ideas, hopes, dreams, and many inspirational experiences. I never thought I would learn so much in 5 days from so many strangers but I did.

All this time I thought I knew who I was as a photographer, however I have learned that a photographer evolves with time. I think I have evolved into a more matured and conscious individual; an individual that has too many ideas to handle at once and must prioritize.

I showed my new friends from PPA (Professional Photographers of America)some of my images and kept hearing from them that I would be an awesome advertisement photographer. I came to the conclusion that I love to make people look good - is that bad? I love it when a client look at his/her images and tell me how much they love them, or tell me that "they cannot believe its them". I love how my images make others happy. I think that everyone is "beautiful" and that it is our job as photographers to bring that out on all our clients.

I am definitely a Wedding and portrait photographer. I love photographing brides, I love photographing people, and most of all I love to go beyond my client's expectations.

Professional Photographers of America blog 3 or 4

I know I have not been consistent with my blog, and to those wonderful friends that do follow my blog I apologize. It is hard to keep up with my blog while away and attending classes from 7am to 9pm, trying to mingle with many fabulous photographer friends, not to mention forgetting to eat.

All the classes at PPA have been in my humble opinion "AMAZING". I have had the opportunity to listen to Jerry Ghionis, Yervant, Jim Garner, Doug Gordon, Denis Reggie, Alycia Alvarez, Kevin Kubota, Stephen & Jennifer Bebb, Joe Buissink, Gayletta Tompkins, Scott Bourne, Jose Villa, Laura Novak, and many many more.

To many, the names above might not mean much. But to many photographers in the world - the above names mean "icons" of the photography industry Internationally.

PPA gives all photographers an opportunity to grow; not just personally but professionally. This convention provides that extra something we needed to take our businesses to the next level.

Thank you PPA for all you do to keep our inspirations running wild; while showing us that a dream is not impossible.

Professional Photographers of America conference Day 3

It is day 3 of the PPA conference and I am both "Tired" and "Happy". I am tired due to the volunteering gig I got when I arrived (due to my boredom), but am happy 'cause I saw a lot of friends and made new ones. Let me tell you, what was boredom upon arriving is now "extreme exhaustion". I love volunteering but there is so much to do when you are a volunteer - I had no idea. I am now at Yervant's class - "super cool". I will also sit at Joe's Class later on, and hopefully have enough energy to go to the Expo.
I will try to write a bit more after today's sessions and update you on how everything is unfolding here in Nashville, TN.

Professional Photographers of America "PPA" Convention - blog ONE

I am still on Blog one. It is still day one or two from my trip; i consider this day one due to all the amazing things that have happened to me today. First, I am experiencing one of the most important conventions for photographers in the world; second, I just signed up as a volunteer and found out that I am to assist the "MASTER PHOTOGRAPHERS" during their classes.

I "Darling" am blogging from PPA Convention - yay!!! I AM A VOLUNTEER

It is still "day one" for me here at PPA (Professional Photographers of America) Imaging USA. Those who know me know that it doesn't take long for me to get into some kind of shenanigans. Well, this time was no different. Check this out. Here I am in Nashville, TN minding my own business; thinking if I would get bored after walking around the EXPO, and pondering about all the FREE time I was going to have, and if I was going to get to talk to some of the "STAR" PHOTOGRAPHERS COMING to teach; when a door opens and now "I am a Volunteer".

Ladies and Gentleman, I am Darling - a Volunteer for the PPA Convention here in Nashville, TN -One of the most important conventions for photographers in the world with MORE THAN 10,000 confirmed photographers in assistance - including myself OF COURSE. You are probably asking yourselves - what does a volunteer do? Well, as a volunteer I am going to be assisting some of the photographer speakers. Not just any photographer speaker but "THE BEST OF THE BEST PHOTOGRAPHER SPEAKERS IN THE FREAKING WORLD".

I will be spending my precious time not only learning, networking, but assisting my IDOLS.... You are probably thinking - how did Darling get into this mess? Let me tell you that IT WASN'T HARD!!! I met a beautiful girl and awesome photographer named Renee (from California) who mentioned that there could be openings for me as a volunteer - and that's how it all started. I now own Three ORANGE shirts that say Volunteer on it, and also have access - FULL ACCESS TO THE WHOLE CONVENTION NOT ONLY THE EXPO. Is that cool or What?

Professional Photographers of America "PPA" Convention - blog one

Hi all,

First of all, let me tell how excited I am to be here. Here? you might ask - well - I am in Nashville, Tennesse. Yep, Nashville Tenesse. I am here for the Professional Photographers of America convention - Imaging USA. I had planned the trip a few months ago, but as you may know things happen, and I had decided to cancel my trip UNTIL last night. A very sweet lady and an even better photographer "Elena" contacted me, and here I am. Booked my flight, and room at 1:00 am this morning, got on the first plane out, got here at 9:02 am, and here I am in my room trying to blog- YAY!!!

The PPA convention is being held at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention (headquarters) this year and let me tell you - it is awesome! IT IS COLD! I am not going to lie, and my room is not warm; I am actually freezing but let me not tell you about that. Let me tell you instead why I am here. I am here 'cause "this is the place to be" if you are a professional photographer and/or want to be one. There are going to be many classes throughout this week. All the classes concentrate in of course Photography. But the best part is that I get to see all my photographer friends..... YAY!!! Among the many amazing and Master photographers I will be meeting during this week are - my idol - Jerry Ghionis (yay), my other idol- Yervant (yay), Elena Hernandez (yay), I already saw Mr. Rodney Bailey himself (awesome guy), and many many more.

This is the first time away from home without my other half, so I will be blogging a lot. Come back to check out all my adventures. See you soon.... PPA here I come.....

Darling is away for a few days she is attending the Imaging USA 2010 Expo in Nashville Tennessee. She will probably be meeting some of her favorite photographers including Yervant and Jerry Ghionis. I could not attend as I am doing a photoshoot today.
